Restoration in the backcountry

The Cascade Mountains are home to incredible rugged and remote lodges and huts that are only accessible by snow vehicles or skis in winter. The Big Lake Youth Camp suffered significant water damage after the Forest Service access roads were closed for winter. The team stayed at the camp to perform the restoration work; entering and exiting by snowmobile weekly. The Camp helped some with their snowcat, but for the most part, the team conveyed materials and subcontractors in by snowmobile and sleigh. Talk about unique experience!
